The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gualter Cardoso during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to S.C. Reis United getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Elano Cunha hit a great ball. Keld Paulsen made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Rodriguinho Reis sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute, one of S.C. Reis United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for S.C. Reis United. The referee gave Denmark a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Chris Nygaard, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of S.C. Reis United's João Paulo Urbano. 0-1. Paulo Renato Trevisan made in the 36th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Amadeu Negri immediately put the ball in play. 46 minutes in the game Gualter Cardoso did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Amadeu Negri.

S.C. Reis United's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Chris Nygaard 51 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. After 70 minutes of play, Denmark's Chris Nygaard made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Paulo Urbano was left in no man's land by his defense there! S.C. Reis United's João Paulo Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 76th minute of play. With a little luck, S.C. Reis United's João Paulo Urbano got control of the ball when Chris Nygaard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paulo Renato Trevisan made in the 81st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Eduardo Gaspar however managed to control. João Paulo Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Paulo Urbano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Paulo Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 95th minute of the match. Denmark's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
