With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernesto Fe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ernesto Fe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Barreto went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Fe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. Ernesto Fe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Ubaldo Gonzales came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Daniel Pimentel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernesto Fe was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 43rd minute of play forced Cavallino Rampante II's goalkeeper Ernesto Fe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Oja in the 75th minute of play. Cavallino Rampante II's Ernesto Fe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 80th minute of play. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
