The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Edgar Meier sent off a good shot on target. Bunda Grande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 11th minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match Hungary got a corner. SalentoUnited's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Major Barna got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-1. 32 minutes into the match. Bunda Grande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. Balazs Lajos made a great header on Hungary's corner, it was just that SalentoUnited's Bunda Grande managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 46th match minute, SalentoUnited was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Lazcano to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, SalentoUnited's Augusto Lazcano got a free kick in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frasier Huber was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Antal Valentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bunda Grande having to interfere. In the 60th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bunda Grande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Major Barna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bunda Grande was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frasier Huber in the 63rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Vörös Henrik could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Bunda Grande however easily saved by the left post. SalentoUnited made a substitution. John Helgason replaced Edgar Meier. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after SalentoUnited's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. The corner led Hungary's Antal Valentin to fire away a dangerous shot which Bunda Grande despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Bunda Grande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, SalentoUnited's Bunda Grande got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bunda Grande made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target.
