After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Brighton! Damir Pongrac scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Noh Hian, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Noh Hian didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toni Mauzer went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Daniz Lee kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. SK Sum could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Ilija Skugor made a huge save. In the 24th minute Toni Mauzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noh Hian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damir Pongrac in the 32nd minute of play forced Brighton's goalkeeper Noh Hian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brighton's Noh Hian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damir Pongrac in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Croatia's Dinko Stankovic nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Noh Hian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After 37 played minutes Croatia got a freekick which was hit by Damir Pongrac. Noh Hian didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damir Pongrac went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. In the 43rd minute, Toni Mauzer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noh Hian was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toni Mauzer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damir Pongrac scored 0-8 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Noh Hian, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Noh Hian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damir Pongrac in the 57th minute of the match. Noh Hian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damir Pongrac in the 58th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Croatia's Toni Mauzer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Noh Hian. That made the score 0-9 after 61 minutes of play. In the 70th minute, Toni Mauzer made a precise shot to the right of Noh Hian. Brighton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-10. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toni Mauzer in the 82nd minute of play forced Brighton's goalkeeper Noh Hian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sajeev Swee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Damir Pongrac took a quick shot and it went in 0-12 without a chance for Noh Hian to make any attempt to save it. 93 minutes into the match, Brighton's goalkeeper Noh Hian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dinko Stankovic. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sajeev Swee, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Patrik Terzic's late challenge caught a Brighton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrik Terzic helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Croatia's Patrik Terzic got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Croatia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Brighton.
