Emilio Palos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Estudiantes de rio IV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. Lars Meesters made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Estudiantes de rio IV's Emilio Palos managed to reach the ball for a save. 17 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dalmacio Musko. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Reekers was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Ildefonso Cuartio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ildefonso Cuartio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de rio IV's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Emilio Palos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egbert Nijveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Estudiantes de rio IV's Candido Chan got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Estudiantes de rio IV's Emilio Palos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 33rd minute of play. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Candido Chan in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dalmacio Musko. After 44 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Egbert Nijveldt. The audience thought a goal was coming when Segundo Gaxan got free with Arnout Reekers in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

50 minutes into the match, Segundo Gaxan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Segundo Gaxan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Candido Chan fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes de rio IV's protests and gave Candido Chan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Netherlands's David Eikelkamp dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Segundo Gaxan in the 69th minute of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Gaxan, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Estudiantes de rio IV's Emilio Palos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Estudiantes de rio IV from getting a goal against them. Uriel Afonso kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Emilio Palos could save by the left post. Ildefonso Cuartio scored 4-2 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Estudiantes de rio IV had won after a very even match.
