The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Spain's Enrique Rabellino got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Natalio Guter spun around in front of the goal 13 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Spain's goal. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Gervaso in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute Rosendo Gervaso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ascaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Adria Bielsa sped through Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emanuel Podgoreanu. Emanuel Podgoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adria Bielsa in the 22nd minute of play. Hipolito Misael could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Gabriel Ascaso made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Spain's zone, Horácio Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Ascaso came out of the goal and Horácio Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Gabriel Ascaso managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Natalio Guter fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Acercate Y Patea de Lejos getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Yves Ayral hit a great ball. Gabriel Ascaso made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Natalio Guter sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Acercate Y Patea de Lejos getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Su Kun hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Adria Bielsa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spain fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Emanuel Podgoreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Toledo in the 44th minute of the match. After the first half Spain were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Omar Toledo was the one to do the kick off. Horácio Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabriel Ascaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Guter in the 56th minute of the match. Natalio Guter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Guter came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 72 minutes, David Aranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spain's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Aranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos made a substitution. Eliseo Abechuco replaced Horácio Garcia. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos made a substitution. Jose Gipuzkoa replaced Hipolito Misael. Carles Cherro scored 0-3 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuel Podgoreanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Spain could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Acercate Y Patea de Lejos throughout the match.
