In the 16th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Veronica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 17th minute of play forced ToCoTaN FC's goalkeeper Edelmiro Veronica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Veronica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, ToCoTaN FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Edelmiro Veronica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edelmiro Veronica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Simon Wallin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by ToCoTaN FC's Teobaldo Txindoki. But to his dismay, Teobaldo Txindoki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Edelmiro Veronica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 40th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Wallin, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Lars Meesters hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Humberto Distiratsu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute Simon Wallin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 59 minutes into the match, ToCoTaN FC's goalkeeper Edelmiro Veronica had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. In the 60th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. ToCoTaN FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Gijsbert ter Kruimer scored to the left of an out of position Edelmiro Veronica, making the score, 2-1. Teobaldo Txindoki hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Edelmiro Veronica threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from David Eikelkamp, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobaldo Txindoki, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. With a little luck, ToCoTaN FC's Edelmiro Veronica got control of the ball when Egbert Nijveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Egbert Nijveldt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edelmiro Veronica quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edelmiro Veronica firmly grabbed it by the left post. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Edelmiro Veronica threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Wallin, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Wallin in the 84th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ToCoTaN FC's zone, Lars Meesters stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edelmiro Veronica came out of the goal and Lars Meesters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 87 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Wim Wilmes. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edelmiro Veronica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edelmiro Veronica was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 95 minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Netherlands had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
