Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Jordão in the 7th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Daniel Pimentel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MEXACOMX's Januário Rangel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Caetano Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 15 minutes, Ricardo Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MEXACOMX's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felipe Barreto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Januário Rangel. MEXACOMX's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 19th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Januário Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Maurício Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Guerra in the 27th minute of play. The MEXACOMX fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when MEXACOMX's Ricardo Guerra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Ricardo Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. MEXACOMX's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Guerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. Damaso Palben kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Guerra. Rodolfo Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Ricardo Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Caetano Moreira hit a great ball. Ricardo Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomás Jordão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Jordão, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Faustino Almeida hit a great ball. Januário Rangel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Viriato Moura ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Januário Rangel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 65th minute Daniel Pimentel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Januário Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Tomás Jordão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Tomás Jordão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. 74 minutes into the game, Tomás Jordão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Ricardo Guerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipinho Amorims short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Januário Rangel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, MEXACOMX's Tomás Jordão got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
