Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksi Puhakainen, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisão Linares in the 13th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Pereiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Raul Diego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute Luisão Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raul Diego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Meesters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's Lars Meesters managed to work through Pereiras FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Lars Meesters dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 19 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Luisão Linares came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Diego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 21st minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Lars Meesters got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Raul Diego quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 26 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Aleksi Puhakainen came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Pereiras FC's Aleksi Puhakainen. But to his dismay, Aleksi Puhakainen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Raul Diego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Diego having to interfere. Raul Diego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Raul Diego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Pereiras FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Hélder Custódio hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisão Linares to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raul Diego. That made the score 1-1 after 51 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pereiras FC's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raul Diego came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Pitta in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute Gualter Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathijn Doctor kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Pereiras FC's Daniel Maia was substituted for Gualter Pitta. Pereiras FC made a substitution. Ulisses Luz replaced Luisão Linares. The supporters of Pereiras FC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijn Doctor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Raul Diego was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Diego having to interfere. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulisses Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Maia in the 76th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pereiras FC made a substitution. Per-Erik Ekberg replaced Hélder Custódio. In the 79th minute Pereiras FC were awarded a corner. Ulisses Luz went to the cornerflag to take it. Raul Diego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 80th minute of the match. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Eikelkamp might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raul Diego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Eikelkamp ran back to his position shaking his head. When Mathijn Doctor fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Netherlands's protests and gave Mathijn Doctor a yellow card for diving instead. Netherlands were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
