Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Germany's Frank Sachs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Artūrs Sagalats sent off a good shot on target. SK Annenieki's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Reinholds Jaunzems in the 11th minute. SK Annenieki's Reinholds Jaunzems was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tommy Kahn in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artūrs Sagalats got free with Tommy Kahn in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in SK Annenieki's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jānis Lielais came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Germany's Chris Mergenthaler got a free kick in the 18th minute. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Artūrs Sagalats sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to SK Annenieki getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Aigars Builis hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Artūrs Sagalats took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tommy Kahn to make any attempt to save it. When Ludis Vaicātājs fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SK Annenieki's protests and gave Ludis Vaicātājs a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, SK Annenieki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludis Vaicātājs to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Artūrs Sagalats. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artūrs Sagalats, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artūrs Sagalats in the 36th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Artūrs Sagalats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Indris Tomass in the 39th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Indris Tomass came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Artūrs Sagalats was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Artūrs Sagalats's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. SK Annenieki's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Reinholds Jaunzems in the 52nd minute. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artūrs Sagalats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artūrs Sagalats scored 2-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Artūrs Sagalats kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artūrs Sagalats in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artūrs Sagalats in the 68th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artūrs Sagalats in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SK Annenieki's Ingus Rencis was substituted for Drosmis Kalnaiza. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilis Lettlands in the 80th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Germany's Sven Krakouer got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Jāzeps Pics kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. Sven Krakouer hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SK Annenieki fully deserved thier win.
