Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Emanuel Hawley started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Frank Sachs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Freddie Daniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Albin Holweck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Germany booed when Moorefield AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lanny Boyles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germany's attentive Janik Vogt managed to snatch the ball when Kasey Barber made a throw-in in the 15th minute of the game. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Lanny Boyles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Freddie Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 20th minute of play. Germany were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Moorefield AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frank Sachs took the corner. After 21 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Janik Vogt. Janik Vogt stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Moorefield AFC's defenders and the ball went out. Germany appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Germany were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Moorefield AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frank Sachs took the corner. After taking down the ball on Germany's corner Frank Sachs fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Freddie Daniel quite easily take care of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Hawley came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lanny Boyles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Hawley in the 38th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Sachs to strike the kick off in the second half. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Val Lowery in the 64th minute of the match. Janik Vogt hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Blair Nunez struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moorefield AFC. Johnny Larsen kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Freddie Daniel made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Freddie Daniel in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 80 minutes, Lanny Boyles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moorefield AFC and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes Moorefield AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lanny Boyles. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lanny Boyles went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Moorefield AFC's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddie Daniel came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Lanny Boyles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Freddie Daniel was a little too slow when Frank Sachs got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 1-3. 90 minutes into the match, Moorefield AFC's goalkeeper Freddie Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. After 93 minutes, Albin Holweck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the Moorefield AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Moorefield AFC booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albin Holweck didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Germany eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
