Los up up's Zäfär Güläliyev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Moreira in the 22nd minute of play. David Rodas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. In the 30th minute Sabahattin Hanönü shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zäfär Güläliyev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zäfär Güläliyev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Viriato Moura went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 35 minutes into the match, Los up up's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Zäfär Güläliyev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabahattin Hanönüs short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Wilson Amorim to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rigoberto Abeitia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Portugal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los up up the free kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zäfär Güläliyev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viriato Moura in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute of the match Portugal got a corner. Los up up's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felipe Barreto ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Raul Caetano hit a great ball. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 56th match minute, Los up up was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Rodas to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Bren McPhil came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Los up up! Zäfär Güläliyev had in the 62ndth minute some difficulties stopping Felipe Barreto's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. But to his dismay, Cahya Tomagola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. The referee gave Portugal a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Pimentel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Los up up's Zäfär Güläliyev. 2-3. But to his dismay, Cahya Tomagola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
