Rufus Roach's late challenge caught a France's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rufus Roach helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Rufus Roach got a free kick in the 18th minute. Maxime Durand made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Garth Brough sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute of the match Australian Youth Academy got a corner. France's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cesar Cornelius ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Cesar Cornelius got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Maxime Durand quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd rose to their feet as Garth Brough kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maxime Durand. That made the score 3-0 in the 23 minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match Australian Youth Academy got a corner. France's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cesar Cornelius ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Australian Youth Academy's corner Cesar Cornelius fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Maxime Durand quite easily take care of the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Garth Brough recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maxime Durand. Garth Brough showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Garth Brough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maxime Durand having to make a save. France's Maxime Durand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save France from getting a goal against them. Camille Baume received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Tom Riddle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Garth Brough made the kick off in the second half. Garth Brough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maxime Durand having to make a save. 55 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Brough came free, but Maxime Durand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ellis Hoskin fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Australian Youth Academy's protests and gave Ellis Hoskin a yellow card for diving instead. Ellis Hoskin kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Rufus Roach kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th match minute, France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Barbier to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Garth Brough ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maxime Durand was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After 76 played minutes Australian Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Brown Haslett. Jean Bombelles made in the 78th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Frank Peletier however managed to control. Australian Youth Academy's attentive Jason Butterfield managed to snatch the ball when Jean Bombelles made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. Garth Brough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maxime Durand having to make a save. Boyd Allan hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Australian Youth Academy's Tom Riddle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camille Baume in the 82nd minute of play. With a little luck, Australian Youth Academy's Tom Riddle got control of the ball when Frank Peletier tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 84 played minutes Frank Peletier rounded Australian Youth Academy's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 7-1. Australian Youth Academy were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after France's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cesar Cornelius took the corner. Australian Youth Academy's Tom Riddle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camille Baume in the 91st minute of play. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
