The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. After 14 played minutes KOCAELİSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Fiori Britto. If Caetano Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şemsettin Tuyuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 17th minute of play. Ömer Demirci blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ömer Demirci in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 26th minute of play. Fiori Britto made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 32nd minute of play forced KOCAELİSPOR's goalkeeper Şemsettin Tuyuğ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Felipe Barreto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Moreira in the 56th minute of play. The corner led Portugal's Daniel Pimentel to fire away a dangerous shot which Şemsettin Tuyuğ despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ got control of the ball when Felipe Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Şemsettin Tuyuğ managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Portugal's Felipe Barreto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Portugal's Bruno Bastos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hami Şahistan in the 69 minute of the game. In the 74th minute Aşır Zabit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Rodolfo Miranda got a free kick in the 79th minute. KOCAELİSPOR's Hami Şahistan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bruno Bastos in the 94 minute of the game. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KOCAELİSPOR fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portugal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
