An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 25th minute of play forced Falckner FC's goalkeeper Urmet Rammu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gianluca Vialli in the 29th minute. Gianluca Vialli took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gianluca Vialli scored 2-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 39 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's Gianluca Vialli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Mergenthaler to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gianluca Vialli got free with Tommy Kahn in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Gianluca Vialli scored 3-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frank Sachs's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Urmet Rammu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 55th minute, Prudencio Quintyn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Germany's Albin Holweck ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Urmet Rammu. Urmet Rammu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Falckner FC's Urbano Shantala was substituted for Severino Gabrio. Janik Vogt's late challenge caught a Falckner FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Janik Vogt helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Falckner FC a penalty, 68 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Prudencio Quintyn, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. 4-1. In the 72nd match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prudencio Quintyn to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Gianluca Vialli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute, Gianluca Vialli made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. In the 85th minute, Prudencio Quintyn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute Gianluca Vialli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Prudencio Quintyn came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Falckner FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prudencio Quintyn couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Falckner FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Germany had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
