Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Quilo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Catarinense F.C.'s Amarante Sierra shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. 21 minutes into the game, Catarinense F.C.'s Garaile Vigalondo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zhu Chao Guang might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zhu Chao Guang ran back to his position shaking his head. 27 minutes into the match, Amarante Sierra dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers, 3-0. Egbert Nijveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Luke having to interfere. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Kauldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Luke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egbert Nijveldt lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 42nd minute, one of Netherlands:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Netherlands. After 44 minutes, David Eikelkamp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the Catarinense F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. A hard shot by Zhu Chao Guang from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Arnout Reekers's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 48th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Luke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ciro Quilo to strike the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amarante Sierra in the 52nd minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Quilo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After 53 played minutes Catarinense F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Keith Caputo. After having played for 54 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in Catarinense F.C.'s zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauricio Luke came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Catarinense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zhu Chao Guang didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 72nd minute of play forced Catarinense F.C.'s goalkeeper Mauricio Luke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Kauldi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Catarinense F.C.'s goalkeeper Mauricio Luke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amarante Sierra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, David Eikelkamp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Netherlands's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
