But to his dismay, Petros Mousa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 33 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Janik Vogt. In the 34th minute, Janik Vogt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When %teams%'s He Qiang was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 3-1 just inside the left pole, 40 minutes into the game. Tommy Kahn was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Petros Mousa's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. The supporters of Germany booed when INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cao Yue Zheng didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Sachs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Frank Sachs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pepe Santoro. That made the score 3-2 in the 51 minute of play. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Petros Mousa came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB made a substitution. Narciso Vergaray replaced Higinio Barros. He Qiang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pepe Santoro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Vergaray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 played minutes INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Lesardo. INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
