Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Germany's Frank Sachs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paulo Pombal in the 11th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo Pombal came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Sílvio Lucas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Janik Vogt during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Germany's Janik Vogt got a free kick in the 35th minute. The supporters of Germany booed when Cruzeiro RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cruzeiro RS's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eguen Armesto came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Zé Paulo Pombal made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Zé Paulo Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Albin Holweck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred de Barros in the 66th minute of the match. If Fred de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cruzeiro RS made a substitution. Telmo Souza replaced João Augusto Vides. In the 70th match minute, Cruzeiro RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Lucas to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute of the game Telmo Souza made a throw-in which Fred de Barros played forward. Albin Holweck kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro RS's Sílvio Lucas got a free kick in the 85th minute. Cruzeiro RS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
