The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gustavo Albages succeeded in the game's 9th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Albages came free, but Bebeto de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilvan Pombal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Telmo Peraza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Albages took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bebeto de Salles. Bebeto de Salles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Damião in the 55th minute of play forced C.D. Pepino’s's goalkeeper Telmo Peraza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to União Verde FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Duarte do Vale hit a great ball. Lázaro Sobarzo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bebeto de Salles. União Verde FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gustavo Albages sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 72 played minutes União Verde FC got a freekick which was hit by Cauã Maciel. In the 72nd minute of the match Lázaro Sobarzo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bebeto de Salles skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to União Verde FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Fernandão Loyola hit a great ball. Laércio Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Peraza having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Javier Astete in the 81st minute of play forced União Verde FC's goalkeeper Bebeto de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xamín Llamllam hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Vladimir Motta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Telmo Peraza. C.D. Pepino’s's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Telmo Peraza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laércio Damião in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the União Verde FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C.D. Pepino’s.
