An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 33rd minute of play forced Taurus Assoc. de Futebol's goalkeeper Nelsinho Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keld Paulsen was a little too slow when Gustavo Marinho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 4-0. The Denmark fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Keld Paulsen should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Marinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 72nd minute Elivélton Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
