In the 20th minute Ezio Gøl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nilmar de Souza in the 21st minute. Ezio Gøl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. João Carlos Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Ezio Gøl got a free kick in the 28th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ezio Gøl in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 41 played minutes INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Veloso. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mai Chuan in the 44th minute of play. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. Nilmar de Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nilmar de Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Hungary booed when INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilmar de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Nilmar de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mai Chuan hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Hungary's Takacs Tibor got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Carlos Lucas came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Hungary's Antal Valentin. But to his dismay, Antal Valentin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The audience was convinced that Ezio Gøl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. After 68 minutes, Rafinha de Brito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th match minute, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafinha de Brito to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezio Gøl in the 70th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Ezio Gøl looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The audience was convinced that Mai Chuan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Mai Chuan hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanni Ramalho in the 93rd minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hungary's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
