After taking down the ball on Municipales FC's corner Marko Törnkvist fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wilson Amorim quite easily take care of the ball. Basilio Matxin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilson Amorim came out and tried to block the shot, but Basilio Matxin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. Edgardo Joseph showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Basilio Matxin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Basilio Matxin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Portugal's Rodolfo Miranda quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Raimundo Intxixu, made in the 41st minute of the game. Municipales FC's Edgardo Joseph played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Graciano Coutinho in the 43rd minute of play. Edgardo Joseph showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Graciano Coutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When Portugal's Felipe Barreto in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Municipales FC's goalie prevented a goal. Lin Wen Shi charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Municipales FC's Alonzo Urbasa was substituted for Marcin Puch. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eustacio Firmo went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Portugal's Bruno Bastos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cristian Llorian, made in the 59th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Portugal's Edgardo Joseph threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Caetano Moreira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 60th minute, Viriato Moura fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With his leg Edgardo Joseph managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Portugal's Felipe Barreto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Edgardo Joseph showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After a rather tough play, Municipales FC's Marko Törnkvist got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. 75 minutes into the match, Municipales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolomeu Dias came free, but Edgardo Joseph reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Portugal booed when Municipales FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto-Carlos Ligero didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Joannes came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sidney Joannes went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Edgardo Joseph made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 84th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipinho Amorim got free with Edgardo Joseph in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd minute Portugal were awarded a corner. Daniel Pimentel went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 94th minute Bartolomeu Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Joseph saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Portugal's Caetano Moreira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
