Maxime Durand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 毛明昆, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th match minute, France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxence Durand to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as 毛明昆 kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maxime Durand. That made the score 2-1 in the 22 minute of play. The Proteu fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Proteu's 毛明昆 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in France's zone, 毛明昆 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxime Durand came out of the goal and 毛明昆 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maxime Durand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 毛明昆, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 毛明昆 in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Maxime Durand, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Proteu getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Tercero Segundo hit a great ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Camille Baume managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maxime Durand was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but 毛明昆 showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 41 minute of play. In the 43rd minute of the match, 毛明昆 tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Maxime Durand saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 46 minutes into the match, Proteu's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Peletier came free, but Edvin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

With an all-out effort, France's Edvin van der Sar threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Remy Dupuy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
