Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ignace Bailey made the kick off which started today's match. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Jayson Ham sent off a good shot on target. Manuel Medeleanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Holweck in the 18th minute of play. Tommy Kahn stood somewhat misplaced when Thommy Vuerinx came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 21 minute. In the 23rd minute, Albin Holweck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Thommy Vuerinx came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Medeleanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, FC Mercier-Est's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Manuel Medeleanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32ndth minute of the game Frank Sachs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Mercier-Est's Manuel Medeleanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Germany's Frank Sachs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Medeleanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thommy Vuerinx. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Ludomil Trzaskoma threw the ball into play from the sideline. Germany's Adrian Dreifuss quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Federico Nielsen charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Federico Nielsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Germany booed when FC Mercier-Est was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Nielsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Sachs in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Manuel Medeleanu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 61 minutes into the match, Ignace Bailey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ignace Bailey was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignace Bailey in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Manuel Medeleanu made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 74th minute Thommy Vuerinx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thommy Vuerinx, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute Jayson Ham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Federico Nielsen hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Albin Holweck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Medeleanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Manuel Medeleanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. After a rather tough play, Germany's Adrian Dreifuss got a free kick in the 95th minute. When Ludomil Trzaskoma came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the FC Mercier-Est fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ludomil Trzaskoma couldn't finish the play. FC Mercier-Est's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
