After a rather tough play, Guldsmedshyttan IK's Evert Pettersson got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Magne Ahlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Boberg came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Raul Caetano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. In the 17th minute of the match Guldsmedshyttan IK got a corner. Portugal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Georg Forssell ran over to the corner to take the kick. Faustino Almeida hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zebastian Lindman. Guldsmedshyttan IK's Jonathan Sandberg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Faustino Almeida in the 23 minute of the game. 25 minutes into the game, Zebastian Lindman lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Wilson Amorim. Caetano Moreira struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Magne Ahlberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portugal. Guldsmedshyttan IK's Magne Ahlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 37th minute of play. When Felipe Barreto came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Barreto couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the game, Zebastian Lindman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wilson Amorim. Zebastian Lindman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zebastian Lindman made a kick off. Magne Ahlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 53rd minute of play. Aleksander Käller kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Felipe Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Magne Ahlberg made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Magne Ahlberg in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aron Apelqvist in the 68th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
