Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zebastian Lindman, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. A collision led to Guldsmedshyttan IK getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Stig-Åke Axelsson hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the game, Italy's Porziano Marchitelli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Magne Ahlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 35th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Guldsmedshyttan IK's Magne Ahlberg. Magne Ahlberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 48th minute of the match Italy got a corner. Guldsmedshyttan IK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sigfrido Auletta ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Eliseo Cutri almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Guldsmedshyttan IK's Magne Ahlberg did a great save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A sloppy throw-in by Stig-Åke Axelsson in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Siricio Liotta. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zaccheo Andolina got free with Magne Ahlberg in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guldsmedshyttan IK's Magne Ahlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 60th minute of play. Porziano Marchitelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Zaccheo Andolina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zebastian Lindman in the 70th minute of play. After 74 played minutes Guldsmedshyttan IK got a freekick which was hit by Evert Pettersson. 79 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Måns Hägglund came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Zaccheo Andolina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. 87 minutes into the game, Guldsmedshyttan IK's Måns Hägglund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flavio Vittori made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. With a little luck, Guldsmedshyttan IK's Magne Ahlberg got control of the ball when Adriano Curto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 94th minute of the match, Adriano Curto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Magne Ahlberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Adriano Curto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magne Ahlberg having to interfere. The Guldsmedshyttan IK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Italy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
