Dong Yang Bang was slow to take the kick. During this time Sport Clube Recife's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Reginaldo Brodel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Germany's Tommy Kahn did a great save. Delfim Leite made in the 14th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Pablo Lampard however managed to control. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Pablo Lampard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Pablo Lampard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robby Woody in the 21st minute of play. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualter Penha in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gualter Penha got free with Tommy Kahn in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pablo Lampard's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Robby Woody tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robby Woody. After 38 minutes Germany's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Gualter Penha came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68thth minute of the game Gualter Penha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sport Clube Recife's supporters rose to their feet, but Pablo Lampard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute Gualter Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gualter Penha in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Linus Schwerner fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 90th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sport Clube Recife had played much better football throughout.
