Albin Holweck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Sachs in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonatan Vennerkvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willy Stieler to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Frank Sachs notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Temperley's Jonatan Vennerkvist. Jonatan Vennerkvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 39 played minutes Temperley got a freekick which was hit by Kaapo Mastropiero. Edelmiro Fe hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Orlando Silvino hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilberto Illart was the one to do the kick off. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonatan Vennerkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albin Holweck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germany's Janik Vogt quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Orlando Silvino, made in the 70th minute of the game. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Frank Sachs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonatan Vennerkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaapo Mastropiero in the 90th minute of play. The supporters of Germany booed when Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Silvino didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonatan Vennerkvist was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Germany players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
