If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Venko Petrov got free with Tommy Kahn in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dimitar Vetzov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Venko Petrov in the 15th minute. Dimitar Vetzov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 17th minute of the match. Hristiyan Karaleev might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hristiyan Karaleev ran back to his position shaking his head. Venko Petrov did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Tommy Kahn 23 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Hristiyan Karaleev got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 31 minutes into the match, Frank Sachs notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Bansko's Dimitar Vetzov. Dimitar Vetzov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adrian Dreifuss kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hristiyan Karaleev in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 46 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Sven Krakouer. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Venko Petrov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Sven Krakouer. 53 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Toromanov came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chris Mergenthaler made in the 55th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Frank Sachs. A collision led to FC Bansko getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Hristiyan Karaleev hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Avgustin Lúskov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Bansko fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Hristiyan Karaleev struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bansko. FC Bansko made a substitution. Gencho Mangezov replaced Ivan Toromanov. The supporters of FC Bansko booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Allan Magnusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hristiyan Karaleev in the 78th minute of play. Dimitar Vetzov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Germany's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Sachs in the 80th minute. After 81 minutes, Hristiyan Karaleev made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Germany's Tommy Kahn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Kuncho Glavchev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kuncho Glavchev in the 87th minute of the match. Avgustin Lúskov took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. In the 92nd minute Avgustin Lúskov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Bansko fully deserved thier win.
