When Fabricio Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portugal's protests and gave Fabricio Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Fabricio Andrade got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Portugal. Felipe Barreto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Qiu Zhi. 1-1. If Viriato Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martial Haas in the 18th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the SILMONT defense, Felipe Barreto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Qiu Zhi. The SILMONT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Qiu Zhi should have stopped the shot. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Bordat, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When Javier Bordat came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the SILMONT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Bordat couldn't finish the play. 39 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Bordat came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damazy Ruszczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Daniel Pimentel hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martial Haas in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Qiu Zhi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 57th minute of play. Qiu Zhi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Bordat in the 59th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61stth minute of the game Javier Bordat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 63rd minute, Javier Bordat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 65th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graciano Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. Damazy Ruszczyk hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. After a rather tough play, SILMONT's Damazy Ruszczyk got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Javier Bordat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 75 minutes, Martial Haas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SILMONT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martial Haas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Javier Bordat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Martial Haas in the 78 minute of the game. In the 79th minute, Bruno Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Javier Bordat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
