Wilfried Stevens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Metod Mlynar in the 16th minute of the match. Wilfried Stevens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Metod Mlynar's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind ASV Muziekwijk's goalkeeper Wilfried Stevens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frits Klasens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrich Slany having to interfere. Wilfried Stevens came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Slovakia's Metod Mlynar. But to his dismay, Metod Mlynar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some careless play in the ASV Muziekwijk defense, Metod Mlynar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilfried Stevens. The ASV Muziekwijk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilfried Stevens should have stopped the shot. After 41 minutes of play, Slovakia's Vavrinec Koleno made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Slovakia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliver Holub was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Metod Mlynar to make the kick off. Wilfried Stevens made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Metod Mlynar sent off a good shot on target. Metod Mlynars short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Wilfried Stevens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of ASV Muziekwijk booed when Slovakia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zigmund Maliar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilfried Stevens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Metod Mlynar in the 81st minute. With a little luck, ASV Muziekwijk's Wilfried Stevens got control of the ball when Metod Mlynar tried to sneak it across the goal line. ASV Muziekwijk's attentive Jan-Peter van Zaanen managed to snatch the ball when Zigmund Maliar made a throw-in in the 90th minute of the game. With a little luck, ASV Muziekwijk's Wilfried Stevens got control of the ball when Metod Mlynar tried to sneak it across the goal line.
