Diego Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Alexander Higgins made a huge save. Scotland's Alexander Higgins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Scotland from getting a goal against them. Alexander Higgins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 柯然岩, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as 辽宁铁人辉山乳业's 柯然岩 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alexander Higgins. That made the score 2-0 after 17 minutes of play. In the 20th minute, Diego Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 柯然岩 in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexander Higgins saved Scotland from getting behind. Alexander Higgins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 柯然岩 in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Scotland's goal looked a bit too open when 柯然岩 came free, but Alexander Higgins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Diego Costa notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Scotland's Alexander Higgins. Alexander Higgins was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 柯然岩 made a kick off. A collision led to 辽宁铁人辉山乳业 getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. 柯然岩 hit a great ball. Diego Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute 柯然岩 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Higgins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Joachim Leikvoll made a precise shot to the right of Alexander Higgins. Scotland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. In the 80th minute, Diego Costa made a precise shot to the right of Alexander Higgins. Alexander Higgins was left in no man's land by his defense there!
