Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Botond Kutasi got free with Tommy Kahn in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Germany's Sven Krakouer got a free kick in the 13th minute. Félix Kis, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miklós Fehér. A collision led to FC Budapest getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Tamás Káposztás hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Budapest's János Holzhauser slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Kahn. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. Miklós Fehér succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 27th playminute. Bálint Hellinger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Miklós Fehér put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Kahn. 42 minutes into the game, Miklós Fehér recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tommy Kahn. Miklós Fehér showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. In the 44th minute, Janik Vogt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miklós Fehér was the one to do the kick off. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Budapest's János Holzhauser. But to his dismay, János Holzhauser quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. After 58 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Janik Vogt. Frank Sachs in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bálint Hellinger, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Budapest's goalkeeper Bálint Hellinger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bálint Hellinger having to interfere. The supporters of Germany booed when FC Budapest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Félix Kis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Bálint Hellinger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. 77 minutes into the game, Botond Kutasi threw the ball into play from the sideline. Germany's Adrian Dreifuss quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Bálint Hellinger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 81st minute of the match. Tamás Káposztás made in the 83rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Germany's Janik Vogt. 85 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Miklós Fehér came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from János Holzhauser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by János Holzhauser in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of FC Budapest booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miklós Fehér struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Budapest. 94 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Botond Kutasi came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Budapest walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
