Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Viriato Moura started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th minute, Sven-Edvin Jansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 9 minutes, Daniel Pimentel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Pimentel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Edvin Jansson. 16 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Rodolfo Miranda in the 24th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by GuateFortín's Angel Alvarenga. Bruno Bastos got a throw-in 27 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Caetano Moreira. Máximo Perrone hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After 39 minutes, Sven-Edvin Jansson made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Portugal's Wilson Amorim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 46 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Edvin Jansson.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zico Zellier was the one to do the kick off. Nery Pumpido stood somewhat misplaced when Viriato Moura came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 53 minute. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Alvarenga in the 58th minute of play. GuateFortín's Heriberto Correa was substituted for Roberto Trotta. GuateFortín's Mario Gomez was substituted for Angel Alvarenga. GuateFortín's Erick Braun was substituted for Stanyo Búnkov. Rodolfo Miranda made in the 63rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Caetano Moreira. 65 minutes into the match, Viriato Moura dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nery Pumpido, 2-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Viriato Moura kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nery Pumpido. That made the score 2-4 in the 74 minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Pimentel to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 82 minutes, Sven-Edvin Jansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GuateFortín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Edvin Jansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 88 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Mario Gomez. In the 90th minute, Portugal's Daniel Pimentel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-5. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 95th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Portugal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
