Manos Papoutsiadis in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alexander Higgins, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 35 minutes into the game, Manos Papoutsiadis lined in a short shot 6-0 behind a frustrated Alexander Higgins. Alexander Higgins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantinos Kavaliaratos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Manos Papoutsiadis took a quick shot and it went in 7-0 without a chance for Alexander Higgins to make any attempt to save it. In the 48thth minute of the game Konstantinos Kavaliaratos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scotland's Alexander Higgins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Konstantinos Kavaliaratos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.'s Lazaros Serdaris nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexander Higgins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Alexander Higgins was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Akis Stathakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Higgins having to interfere. A collision led to Scotland getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ashton Nelson hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Konstantinos Kavaliaratos in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexander Higgins saved Scotland from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Konstantinos Kavaliaratos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexander Higgins was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Alexander Higgins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konstantinos Kavaliaratos in the 76th minute of play. Alexander Higgins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akis Stathakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Konstantinos Kavaliaratos made a precise shot to the right of Alexander Higgins. Scotland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 13-0. 89 minutes into the game, P.A.O.K.
