Cyprian Lewicki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Peletier in the 3rd minute of the match. If Ricardo Luis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Peletier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Cyprian Lewicki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perez Piciña in the 9th minute of play forced France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, France's Frank Peletier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cyprian Lewicki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. France were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after LRPV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. David Barbier took the corner. In the 19th minute, Ricardo Luis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maxime Durand was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 21 minutes into the game, Ricardo Luis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LRPV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave France the free kick. In the 21st match minute, LRPV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Luis to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, France's Frank Peletier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cyprian Lewicki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cyprian Lewicki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camille Baume in the 28th minute of play. Ricardo Luis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Maxime Durand made a huge save. Frank Peletier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Luis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Maxime Durand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Peletier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyprian Lewicki having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Remy Dupuy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Perez Piciña to strike the kick off in the second half. Cyprian Lewicki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Peletier, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Frank Peletier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Cyprian Lewicki made a huge save. Maxime Durand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Luis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, Ricardo Luis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maxime Durand. France's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Luis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 65th minute of the game Edmundo Noguer made a throw-in which Ricardo Luis played forward. If Ricardo Luis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Perez Piciña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Maxime Durand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camille Baume kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. France's David Barbier shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 72nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cyprian Lewicki but with some difficulty. David Barbier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cyprian Lewicki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Roberto Alicea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Peletier got free with Cyprian Lewicki in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Jean Bombelles fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored France's protests and gave Jean Bombelles a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Jean Bombelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Peletier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyprian Lewicki having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, LRPV's goalkeeper Cyprian Lewicki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Peletier. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Perez Piciña in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxime Durand saved France from getting behind. Maxime Durand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perez Piciña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. France's Camille Baume suffered a concussion after 95 minutes and had to leave the field. After 95 minutes, Roberto Alicea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LRPV and the France players grew even worse after the yellow card. France's Armel Chastain was substituted for Camille Baume. The supporters of France booed when LRPV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Alicea didn't get a good kick on the ball.
