Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Denmark's Chris Nygaard started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Holger Arhenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertram Svenningsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Benavides in the 6th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Benavides in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes into the game, Bertram Svenningsen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Holger Arhenius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Holger Arhenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Holger Arhenius didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chris Nygaard went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Simon Bendtsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denmark's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Felipe Cerna scored to the left of an out of position Keld Paulsen, making the score, 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Felipe Cerna kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Keld Paulsen. That made the score 2-2 in the 29 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Edgardo Carrillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SantaAna's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgardo Carrillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgardo Carrillo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen suffered a concussion after 36 minutes and had to leave the field. After 36 minutes, Edgardo Carrillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SantaAna and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th minute of the match Chris Nygaard shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Holger Arhenius showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to SantaAna getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Manuel Meza hit a great ball. After 42 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Bjarne Kirkegaard. Carmelo Benavides struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Keld Paulsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SantaAna. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikkel Wulff in the 47th minute of play forced SantaAna's goalkeeper Holger Arhenius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute of the match Denmark got a corner. SantaAna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chris Nygaard ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Carmelo Benavides made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Lars Steen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Arhenius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Meza was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 55 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of SantaAna:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Denmark:s goal. The goalkeeper, Holger Arhenius, was totally fooled by Denmark's Chris Nygaard, who 57 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 63rd minute, Felipe Cerna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keld Paulsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. The supporters of Denmark booed when SantaAna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Quintanilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Denmark's Mikkel Wulff dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. 72 minutes into the game, Malthe Lassen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Holger Arhenius. Malthe Lassen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-5. Cristiano Goretzka took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-5. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Cerna, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. SantaAna were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Denmark's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carmelo Benavides took the corner. 83 minutes into the game, one of Denmark:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for SantaAna. Carmelo Benavides stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Keld Paulsen. 5-5. Holger Arhenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. SantaAna's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Malthe Lassen scored to the left of an out of position Holger Arhenius, making the score, 6-6. After a rather tough play, SantaAna's Cristiano Goretzka got a free kick in the 100th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Denmark players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
