After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Kees Mooiweer got a free kick in the 24th minute. The supporters of Fhury FC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijn Doctor didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafim Rebocho in the 26th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Fhury FC's Nuno Madureira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnout Reekers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Fhury FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Tiago Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Gustaaf Groeneveldt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tiago Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 64th minute of the match. Fhury FC's Tiago Rodrigues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Fhury FC from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Rodrigues in the 91st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Netherlands's goalie and right to Bruno Rodrigues. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Netherlands's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fhury FC throughout the match.
