In the 3rd minute of the game Dimosthenis Fyssas made a throw-in which Kostas Lisgaras played forward. In the 4th minute, Andreas Kioubouroglou made a precise shot to the right of Hias Nüssli. Switzerland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When Rodrigo von Känel fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Switzerland's protests and gave Rodrigo von Känel a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Rodrigo von Känel hit a great ball. Hias Nüssli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dimosthenis Fyssas in the 10th minute. The supporters of Switzerland booed when Kolopetinitsa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ercole De Lucia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuele Kunz, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The Kolopetinitsa fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Kolopetinitsa's Dimosthenis Fyssas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rodrigo von Känel kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Andreas Kioubouroglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hias Nüssli having to interfere. Vlassis Mintiouris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Maurer in the 28th minute of the match. With a little luck, Switzerland's Hias Nüssli got control of the ball when Dimosthenis Fyssas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 37 minutes of play Kolopetinitsa's Ercole De Lucia was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ercole De Lucia kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Ubaldo Salomon threw the ball into play from the sideline. Switzerland's Rodrigo von Känel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Hias Nüssli successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Hias Nüssli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Kioubouroglou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Samuele Kunz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Switzerland's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 59 minutes into the match, Andreas Kioubouroglou had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hias Nüssli. Switzerland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andreas Kioubouroglou was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When Timo Siegmund fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Switzerland's protests and gave Timo Siegmund a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Switzerland got a freekick which was hit by Timo Siegmund. In the 65thth minute of the game Andreas Kioubouroglou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Switzerland's Hias Nüssli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Samuele Kunz fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Switzerland's protests and gave Samuele Kunz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kolopetinitsa booed when Switzerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuele Kunz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Andreas Kioubouroglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuele Kunz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vlassis Mintiouris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Dimosthenis Fyssas kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Hias Nüssli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Kioubouroglou, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Kolopetinitsa were victorious despite being under pressure from Switzerland for much of the match.
