Peio Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Jardi Club de Fútbol were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Denmark's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alberto Saura took the corner. After 17 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Kenn Skou. Keld Paulsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Rik's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute, Rogelio Tarin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colas Portillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 28th minute of play. If Mikkel Wulff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Rik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colas Portillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Nygaard's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Emilio Rik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emilio Rik to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emilio Rik in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keld Paulsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kenn Skou's late challenge caught a Jardi Club de Fútbol's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenn Skou helped the player get up and apologised. Denmark's Chris Nygaard was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 63rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Teodor Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodor Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th minute, Teodor Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, Emilio Rik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Colas Portillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Denmark's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chris Nygaard in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute Emilio Rik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Saura made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Olav Graversen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 89th minute of play forced Jardi Club de Fútbol's goalkeeper Colas Portillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Jardi Club de Fútbol fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Denmark were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
