With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deilmison van Basten in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Vittori saved Italy from getting behind. Vitor Beckenbauer hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Deilmison van Basten in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Vittori prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodriguinho Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Simão do Vale got a throw-in 28 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Vilhelm Skoog. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 30th minute of the match. The corner ended in Porziano Marchitelli almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa did a great save. After 44 minutes, Simão do Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ATHLETICO PRaiano and the Italy players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to ATHLETICO PRaiano getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Simão do Vale hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Deilmison van Basten came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Cutri hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zaccheo Andolina to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Zaccheo Andolina tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 54 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Deilmison van Basten came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguinho Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Rodriguinho Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sostene Vitulli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Porziano Marchitelli got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. In the 92nd minute, Adriano Curto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Italy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Curto in the 95th minute of the match. Gaétan Govou hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
