In the 3rd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurențiu Gaciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milosz Budzyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Arnout Reekers didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 9th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milosz Budzyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rüzgar Deniz hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Laurențiu Gaciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Laurențiu Gaciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Milosz Budzyn in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. Laurențiu Gaciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurențiu Gaciu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurențiu Gaciu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After 46 minutes, Silas de Lima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ■La■ ■Tristesse■ ■Durera■ and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. Wim Wilmes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Laurențiu Gaciu threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lars Meesters, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 57th minute, Krzysztof Kon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milosz Budzyn in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Andrzej Klawki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored 1-3 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laurențiu Gaciu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 68th match minute, ■La■ ■Tristesse■ ■Durera■ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Krzysztof Kon to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Massimo Ronaldinho came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
