In the 13th minute, Antal Valentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute, Eugenio Irisarri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Lautaro L.P. fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Lautaro L.P.'s Andolín Echeandía looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Lautaro L.P.'s goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Salvador Ortega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Andolín Echeandía kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fodor Daniel. That made the score 2-0 in the 42 minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Fulco Urra dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fodor Daniel, 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Antal Valentin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 80th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Lautaro L.P. getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Lautaro L.P. were victorious despite being under pressure from Hungary for much of the match.
