Adrian Dreifuss's late challenge caught a Club Sportivo Italiano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Dreifuss helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Club Sportivo Italiano booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Sportivo Italiano's Luisito Bikendi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 9th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Germany. The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Stephen was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Evelio Pes put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Kahn. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Reynaldo Stephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute of the match Club Sportivo Italiano got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luisito Bikendi ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Luisito Bikendi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Germany's Tommy Kahn did a great save. The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Stephen was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 36th minute of the match Germany got a corner. Club Sportivo Italiano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Theo Hayles went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 44 minutes of play Germany's Janik Vogt was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Janik Vogt hit a great ball. 48 minutes into the game, Masao Koriotto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evelio Pes to make the kick off. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Pes in the 55th minute of the match. When Club Sportivo Italiano's Evelio Pes in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Club Sportivo Italiano were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Germany's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luisito Bikendi took the corner. Frank Sachs hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Luisito Bikendi in the 72nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Germany's Adrian Dreifuss. In the 73rd of the match, Albin Holweck tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Reynaldo Stephen got in the way and made a wonderful save. If Theo Hayles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evelio Pes went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evelio Pes's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 88th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Sachs to maneuver through the defense. When Rogelio Claris came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Club Sportivo Italiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Claris couldn't finish the play. Club Sportivo Italiano's Theo Hayles got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Luisito Bikendi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
