An unexpectedly hard shot by Cícero Sergipano in the 16th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Hipolito Lekubegi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hipolito Lekubegi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 20th minute of play. Wilson Amorim stood somewhat misplaced when Cícero Sergipano came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 22 minute. In the 25th minute Cristinel Chinezu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Felipe Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Leme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felipe Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Raul Caetano got a free kick in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cícero Sergipano in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Cícero Sergipano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After 34 played minutes ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Victoro. 35 minutes into the match, Viriato Moura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Leme. ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Viriato Moura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Cícero Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Portugal's Felipe Barreto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Leme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Felipe Barreto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Faustino Almeida hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 48th minute, when ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ's Cristinel Chinezu after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Wilson Amorim in Portugal's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. The ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Portugal were winning 1-2.

In the 74thth minute of the game Cícero Sergipano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 76th minute Louis Rotning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 79 in the game by Daniel Pimentel from a close distance when the talented Luís Leme managed to make a qualified save. ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ's players were relieved. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Cícero Sergipano put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Wilson Amorim. ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ's Jeremias Fontes was substituted for Cristinel Chinezu. In the 87th minute, Feng Jun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Feng Jun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Graciano Coutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portugal and the ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Portugal booed when ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louis Rotning didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match.
