Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tayfun Tanfer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after MarineerS FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davide Tonon in the 24th minute of play. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ilias Tsembelis in the 24th minute. Tayfun Tanfer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tayfun Tanfer was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Žydrūnas Pauža came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davide Tonon in the 31st minute of play. Tayfun Tanfer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Tayfun Tanfer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Žydrūnas Pauža in the 38th minute of play. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Žydrūnas Pauža, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Davide Tonon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayfun Tanfer having to interfere. Tayfun Tanfer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The MarineerS FK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 0-2.

With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Tayfun Tanfer threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tayfun Tanfer made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. John Antolin struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MarineerS FK. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tekin Batırhan in the 68th minute of the match. MarineerS FK's Derviş Akçınar was substituted for Lucien Vercalsteren. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Tayfun Tanfer in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Rundell in the 80th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, MarineerS FK's Hatemi Akyel got a free kick in the 81st minute. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. The MarineerS FK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
