Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Inácio Amaral started the match with the kick off. After 6 played minutes De Kasteelheren got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Hillen. In the 10th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fokke Meijeringh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Inácio Amaral sent off a good shot on target. De Kasteelheren's Fokke Meijeringh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Meesters in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Harold Rodenboog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fokke Meijeringh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 28th minute of play. Fokke Meijeringh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 39th minute of play forced De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Fokke Meijeringh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Harold Rodenboog managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Kasteelheren's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harold Rodenboog was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Netherlands booed when De Kasteelheren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Ensar İsmet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdi Vorenkamp in the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th match minute, De Kasteelheren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iwo Fafinski to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of De Kasteelheren's Fokke Meijeringh. Fokke Meijeringh was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harold Rodenboog in the 64th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Ferdi Vorenkamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 played minutes De Kasteelheren got a freekick which was hit by Iwo Fafinski. Gust Ennemans hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Mathijn Doctor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Hayden Hoebe came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
