After a defensive mix-up in Rönnöfors FF's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magne Gunnarsson came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Magne Gunnarsson. Magne Gunnarsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Olimpiu Mirciulescu hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After having played for 25 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 37th minute of play. After some careless play in the Rönnöfors FF defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magne Gunnarsson. The Rönnöfors FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magne Gunnarsson should have stopped the shot. Per Tunström charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Per Tunström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Magne Gunnarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a great ball. In the 47th minute of the match Arne Stor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnout Reekers showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Henry Fagerberg made the kick off in the second half. Henry Fagerberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnout Reekers having to make a save. In the 56th minute, Sten Hökqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Rönnöfors FF from getting a goal against them. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Tunström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rönnöfors FF made a substitution. Sigvard Biörnberg replaced Olimpiu Mirciulescu. Olimpiu Mirciulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Magne Gunnarsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henry Fagerberg went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Magne Gunnarsson in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magne Gunnarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magne Gunnarsson was a little too slow when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 85th minute of play forced Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Magne Gunnarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Magne Gunnarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 86th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Tunström in the 89th minute of the match. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Stenberg in the 92nd minute of play.
