The corner led Denmark's Chris Nygaard to fire away a dangerous shot which Ernani Oliveira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Borut Špiček stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernani Oliveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Mathias Ludvigsen hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Ernani Oliveira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 70 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Óskar Aspfors came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denmark's Simon Bendtsen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hong Køng, made in the 75th minute of the game. 77 minutes into the match, Borut Špiček notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Denmark's Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Denmark's attentive Lars Steen managed to snatch the ball when Hílton Toscano made a throw-in in the 84th minute of the game. Óskar Aspfors got his second yellow card in the match during the 88th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Óskar Aspfors hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris Nygaard got free with Ernani Oliveira in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
