An unexpectedly hard shot by Tasos Iosifakos in the 5th minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as BPS F.C.'s Stavros Lagoudakis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ilija Skugor. That made the score 2-0 after 10 minutes of play. In the 12th minute, Damir Pongrac hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Croatia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Spyros Gaitanidis scored to the left of an out of position Ilija Skugor, making the score, 3-0. 16 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Spyros Gaitanidis came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panos Tavanidis in the 17th minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, BPS F.C.'s Stavros Lagoudakis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Ilija Skugor came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by BPS F.C.'s Panos Tavanidis. But to his dismay, Panos Tavanidis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 26 minutes into the game, BPS F.C.'s Panos Tavanidis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilija Skugor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Panagiotis Klapanaras's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Ilija Skugor skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 30th minute, BPS F.C.'s Spyros Gaitanidis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 7-0. In the 33rd minute, Panagiotis Klapanaras ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilija Skugor was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. The supporters of BPS F.C. booed when Croatia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Domazet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spyros Gaitanidis in the 40th minute of play. Panos Tavanidis succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 9-0 in the 41st playminute. When Timos Boublis fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BPS F.C.'s protests and gave Timos Boublis a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Croatia's Ilija Skugor got control of the ball when Panos Tavanidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 9-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toni Mauzer to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Stavros Lagoudakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thrasivoulos Kefalas, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 53 minutes into the game, BPS F.C.'s Spyros Gaitanidis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavlos Kantartzis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the game, BPS F.C.'s Panagiotis Klapanaras nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilija Skugor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 14-0. Panagiotis Klapanaras took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 15-0. Panos Tavanidis scored 16-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilija Skugor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 91 minutes of play, BPS F.C.'s Panagiotis Klapanaras made it 17-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilija Skugor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stavros Lagoudakis in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Panagiotis Klapanaras ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilija Skugor was frozen by the shot and now it was 18-0. There was no doubt that BPS F.C. were the better team. BPS F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
